The Laboratory

12-10-07  "Uned 5" (Unit 5)
Tune in to Uned 5 on S4C today at 5pm (digital only) and 6-30pm, for the first chance to hear our brand new song Y GWIR (The Truth).  We're also doing a special version of AM WASTRAFF (What a Waste), put together especially for the programme.

12-10-07  New Songs - and they're free!
How lovely are we… over summer we went back into the studio to record some new stuff, with legendary Welsh music duo Llwybr Llaethog producing.  The results are a brand new song Y GWIR (The Truth), written at the beginning of the year, and one of the first songs we ever wrote, YMYLON (Outskirts), but a very different version to the one we've performed live before.  The songs are available FREE from the player on our myspace page www.myspace.com/clinigolmusic

17-02-07 "Y Selar"
Y Selar (The Cellar) is a Welsh music magazine, the latest issue of which, contains an interview with Aled and Geraint.  It's also got some pretty pictures in, for those of you who can't speaka-de-lingo.  The magazine is free - proof that Luther and Janet knew exactly what they were talking about!

25-01-07 Bandwagons
A great thing, bandwagons.  Especially for jumping on.  So time for us to rediscover our leg muscles and leap on the Skins wagon for bands, after all, we are a band and Siwan Morris, our very own super-songstress (who sings Am Wastraff on our new single), can be seen doing her real job (that is acting) in said show.  So check it out, Skins, every Thursday at 10pm on E4 with Siwan Morris, also known as "Angie"!

22-01-07 Number 9!
The single Eiliad has reached Number 9 on this week's C2 chart for Welsh language artists - our first chart placing!

18-12-06 At last!
Finally, after nearly five years of blood, sweat, tears and endless computer breakdowns, we release our first single Eiliad today!  It's a very exciting time for us and we're very grateful for all the support we've received so far, especially from Esyllt from the label Ciwdod, without whom, there'd be no single.  The single is available from all the usual Welsh language music outlets and from www.sebon.co.uk  Go forth and purchase!

11-12-06 One week to go…
Don't forget that Clinical Christmas happens on the 18th of December this year, with the release of our first single "Eiliad" - only a week to go!  The single artwork looks stunning and the choonz equally so!  Keep checking the site for information on where to buy the electro-pop gems.  We're also very excited about our performance at the record label Christmas party on Tuesday 19th December at the Buffalo Bar in Cardiff.  The whole event is shrouded in secrecy and mystery so we're not allowed to tell anyone that we're playing.  I'm sure we can rely on your discretion in this matter.

20-11-06 Wedi 7
We're on telly tonight!  Siwan Morris joins us to perform "Am Wastraff".  It's a really good performance and Siwan looks amazing as usual, so tune in to S4C at 7pm tonight.

13-11-06 Media Whorin'...
We're not fussy.  Anyone who wants us can have us, especially if it means dressing up and going on telly.  And that's what we're doing tomorrow!  We're heading for the fortress of cool that is Llanelli, to record a song for "Wedi 7" (After 7), a respectable Welsh language magazine programme, for broadcast next Monday.  The band are also being interviewed on the C2 programme on BBC Radio Cymru this Thursday at 2030.  Tune in to hear more pearls of clinical wisdom from Geraint and Aled.

3-11-06 On the Radio (woah-oh-oh…)
We've hit the airwaves clinical friends!  The BBC's National Welsh language radio station, Radio Cymru is "spinning" the single.  To request it, text 07786 20 10 30 or email c2@bbc.co.uk or/and dylanameinir@bbc.co.uk Don't worry if you can't speaka-de-lingo, the band's name and song title will do, if you chuck in a sob story about how you feel robbed being a non-Welsh speaker, that might help too.

22-10-06 Myspace
Never ones to be behind the times, we've finally got round to setting up our myspace page. http://www.myspace.com/clinigolmusic"www.myspace.com/clinigolmusic
How addictive is myspace?!!!

12-10-06 Bandit
There's lots happening in clinicalworld!  First up, the Clwb Ifor Bach Gig was a great success so a huge thanks to all who turned up and danced the night away.  The three songs for single release have been finished and mastered - and they sound fantastic, even if we do say so ourselves.  The single is to be called "Eiliad" (One Second) and will be released on the 18th of December - a perfect Christmas gift!  Go to the therapy section to hear clips!  We're hoping to do a whole load of promotion over the next few weeks - starting with an appearance on the S4C music programme "Bandit".  Tune in to S4C on Thursday 19th of October at 2130 for performances of "Eiliad" and "Am Wastraff" (What a Waste) featuring Siwan Morris.  Also Aled offers a unique insight into clincalworld from a launderette in Cardiff… You’d be a fool to miss it!

21-9-06 Clwb Ifor Bach
Don't forget to that we're performing in Cardiff's Clwb Ifor Bach this Saturday night.  Clinigol's Aled will be spinning some fine electro tunes from about 9 o'clock, the band are due on around 10-45 and we're performing 7 songs, including the world premier of new single "Am Wastraff".  Gemma's hair and make up will be worth the entry price alone.  Don't miss it - it's history in the making!

21-8-06 Erm… Happy New Year?
Oops. Yes we've been quiet this year, mainly because "nobody knew what the hell was going on", but we can finally confirm the release of our first single!  It will contain 3 songs and will be released in December on the Ciwdod label, the Welsh language arm of Complete Control Music.  On production duties, Adam Williams (Jem - "Finally Woken") under the watchful eye of Geraint and Aled.  Vocals on 'Golau' (Light) by Gemma Rees, Geraint Pickard sings 'Eiliad' (A Second) and Clinigol newbie, actress Siwan Morris sings a brand new song, 'Am Wastraff' (What a Waste).  Recording work has already begun on the EP in The Loft studios in Cardiff Bay.  We're also performing on Saturday 23rd September, as support for Ty Gwydr in their reunion gig in Clwb Ifor Bach - bring your dancing shoes!
