Clinigol towers is a revolving door of the great, the
good and the drunk of Wales.
We couldn't do it without them, here's the Clinigol
starry walk of fame:
• The original "Clini-babe", actress Siwan Morris, sings
on 3 tracks, "Am Wastraff", "Sibrwd" and "La Nuit, Si
Douce."
• She wants you to lick her Ice Cream, the gorgeous
Marged Parry provides the vocals for "Hufen Ia".
• Clinigol's new-best-friend, C2 radio presenter Nia
Medi, belts out "93" and the best bits on "Gyd O'r Blaen".
• Caernarfon rapper, Cofi Bach, brings a bit of hip-hop
flava to "Gwertha Dy Hun", which also features DJ Jaffa.
• With a career spanning over 40 years, soprano Margaret
Williams hits all the high notes on "gormod/digon".
• Iconic folk singer Heather Jones breaks hearts on
pop-ballad "Dim Ond Ti Sydd Ar Ôl".
• Cardiff electronic/hip-hop band Bleed Electric go head
to head with Clinigol on the urban-electro track "Oh My
Days."
All of the above tracks feature on the band's debut
album MELYS - available now from www.fflach.co.uk/shop
or from iTunes.
The band's latest release the SWIGOD EP, is available
now to download from all the usual places (iTunes,
Amazon, Play etc) and features some more lovely ladies:
• El Parisa, first seen on S4C's Waw Ffactor, loves a
tipple, so who better to sing an ode to champagne called
"Swigod"?!!
• Self-styled Queen of Darkness, Rufus Mufasa, guests on
"Perygl". We've no idea what she's on about but the
track is sick. Sick we tell you.
Nia Medi and Heather Jones also feature on the new EP,
with two stunning acoustic remixes of their tracks. Wot
no synths we hear you cry?!! Yes, that's what the word
acoustic suggests, so no synths. Get over it.
And that's the story so far. To be continued…
